Paul M. Geraghty
Practice Emphasis: Paul
Geraghty's practice consists primarily of representation of small
businesses, and individuals concerning business related matters, land
use, commercial real estate transactions and litigation.
Education: Mr. Geraghty
graduated from the University of Southern Maine, magnum cum laude,
in 1980 and Quinnipiac College School of Law in 1984. He was admitted
to practice in Connecticut and New York in 1984 and 1985 respectively.
Experience and Law Related Activities:
Mr. Geraghty first worked as an Assistant District
Attorney in Nassau County, New York in the District Court Trial Division.
Upon entering private practice Attorney Geraghty concentrated in the
areas of real estate, land use and development, commercial transactions
and commercial litigation in both state and federal court. Mr. Geraghty
has represented large commercial developers in the development of
residential subdivisions, condominiums and commercial properties.
Mr. Geraghty has acted as a registered lobbyist on behalf of his clients
and appeared before the Connecticut State Legislature on land use
issues. In addition, he has represented numerous banking institutions
in the closing, workout and restructuring of commercial loans and
trial of complex commercial litigation and has acted as defense counsel
for various title insurers.
Mr. Geraghty is a member of the American Bar Association, the Real
Estate, Business Law, Commercial Law and Bankruptcy Sections of the
Connecticut Bar Association.
Community Involvement: Mr.
Geraghty resides in Haddam where he is the Chairman of the Haddam
Planning and Zoning Commission. |
